Everything in our shop is live and cut to order, so the quickest way to get exactly what you want is to come in. Bismillah Halal Live Poultry, 3715 55th St, Woodside, NY 11377. We are open every day from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Delivery
We deliver across New York City. Delivery time and any charge depend on your address and the size of the order, so please call (646) 604-2613 when you place your order and we will confirm both before anything is cut.
Returns
Fresh meat and poultry are cut to order, so we cannot take them back once they have left the shop. If something is wrong with your order, call us the same day on (646) 604-2613 and we will put it right.

Small birds, big flavour. Quail cooks in minutes, takes a marinade beautifully, and most people buy four to six at a time because one is never enough.
They are alive in the shop until you choose. We weigh them in front of you and do the zabiha halal cut at the counter, cleaned and ready to take home.
Best ways to cook quail
- Marinated and fried – ten minutes and it is done
- Grilled or barbecued whole
- Quail curry with a thin, spicy gravy
- Roasted with garlic and black pepper
Do not overcook them. Quail is lean, and a few minutes too long turns it dry.

Is the meat really halal?
Yes. Every bird and animal is slaughtered zabiha halal by hand at our shop, and you are welcome to watch it being done.
Can I pick the animal myself?
Yes – that is the whole point of a live market. You choose it, we weigh it in front of you, and you pay after you have chosen.
Will you cut it the way I want?
Yes. Whole, skin on or skin removed, curry pieces in the size you ask for, quartered, or breast and leg kept separate. Just tell us at the counter.
How much is a goat or a lamb?
Goat and lamb are priced by weight, so the price depends on the animal you choose. Call (646) 604-2613 for today’s rate.
Do you do flame-singed skin?
Yes. For goat and lamb you can have the traditional flame-singed skin done on the spot, or have the skin removed. Tell us which when you order.
